# Enrolling in an IBM Professional Certificate

The **Certificates** menu item enables you to enrol in IBM Professional Certificates. When you first navigate to the page, you will be informed that you are not currently enrolled in any certificates. 

| To enrol in a certificate:

1. Click the **Select Certificate** button to enrol in an IBM Professional Certificate
2. IBM Professional Certificates available to you will be displayed in a new window. Click **a certificate** you wish to enrol in
3. Review the **certificate description** and **required courses** to earn it
4. Click **Enrol**.

The Certificates page will update with the selected IBM Professional Certificate. Your progress towards obtaining the certificate will be displayed in the top-right (**Courses completed** so far and **Total estimated hours** required to earn the certificate).

5. Scroll down to the **required courses** to earn the certificate
6. Click **Take Module** to commence training.
